Lady Gaga scores two nominations at the 2021 Grammys. Her 6th studio album “Chromatica” is nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and the hit single “Rain On Me” featuring Ariana Grande scored a nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.
This years Grammys nominations were overshadowed by snubs of several big artists and questionable choices within some categories. Lady Gaga still had enough luck to get two nominations, even though she didn’t get any in the major categories.
To somehow snub Fiona Apple, Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd in one fell swoop? We’re not even sure a room full of chimpanzees picking up CDs at random and throwing them into a box labeled “nominations” could manage that. It’s truly astonishing, even for the Grammys – Kyle Munzenrieder, W Magazine
With her two new nominations, Gaga has a total of 29 Grammy nominations and could expend her wins to 13 if she is successful.
Performers and presenters have yet to be announced. It is still unclear wether Lady Gaga will perform, let alone attend the ceremony at all. The 63rd Grammys will take place on January 31st 2021 and are hosted by Trevor Noah.
